Uniworld Portugal trip in April 2024

Following a successful hosted Uniworld on a Belgium and the Netherlands river cruise in April 2022, Doug and Sharon Risser are pleased to present another opportunity to travel with friends in the spring, this time to lovely Portugal in April 2024.

Follow the Douro River through Portugal and into Spain.  You’ll cruise past steeply terraced hillsides, quaint villages and acres of vineyards.  Dine on traditional fare in majestic Guimaraes, the birthplace of six Portuguese kings; enjoy private tastings of Port, and explore Porto’s historic Ribeiro district, home to iconic rabelo boats, cutting-edge cuisines and a thriving art scene.
 
Wind your way through the dramatic landscapes of the UNESCO-designated Douro Valley, heading ashore to visit charming quintas and meet the winemakers who operate them.  In Salamanca, Spain, you’ll see the city’s famous university.  Return to Portugal with a visit to the fortified village of Castelo Rodrigo and historic Guimaraes.
 
In addition to the seven-night Uniworld cruise on the Douro, you’ll have the opportunity to experience more of Portugal with optional pre-cruise and post-cruise packages for two nights in Porto starting April 5 and a four-night package in Lisbon from April 14-18.  Prices for the packages will be available in May 2023.
